We've had a full and fantastic day again and have lots to update you on.
We started this morning with a great hotel breakfast and everyone had lots of choice.
After our breakfast we headed to the market square to meet the students and start our tour of the city.
The students split us into groups and we set off to play some games and sightsee around the city.
We saw the market square, library, theatre, and even a chocolate shop!
After all the sightseeing we went to visit the park and the sunshine was out!
After the park we headed to the school for a tour and took a chance to take a photo in the sunshine in the courtyard.
We had a break for a little lunch and then started the second half of our afternoon which was a real treat! We got to play some sports organised by the students it was twice as long as senior games!
It was a very competitive afternoon. Andy won the dodgeball event representing his team Europe. However they weren't the overall winners as they were trumped by the Americans
The overall winning team
After all the sports had finished we gave the Belgian students some gifts and Pieter some gifts for his new baby twins.
After the sports afternoon we headed back the hotel to get ready for dinner.
We went to an Italian restaurant for dinner.
Judith would like a pizza oven like this back at school now! Let's ask the school council!
P.S. Good luck to class 11 and Michele on your BBC school report tomorrow. We're thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteHello travellers!
ReplyDeleteI wonder which was more delicious - the chocolates or the Italian?
Also, what is the one thing you have seen, or done that is totally different from the UK?
Spring Common are missing you!
Leigh
Also ... where does Judith think she could fit the pizza oven? It might make her office a bit too warm!

Hi Leigh!
ReplyDeleteI've asked our tired travellers and they've come up with some answers this morning.
Fran says the buildings are different shapes.
Sophia says the roads have different patterns.
Luke like that they're is a church in their school and the school is very old.
Lee noticed that there are bicycles everywhere.
Caitlin noticed that there were stairs on the train from Brussels to Sint Niklaas
Jordan likes all the graffiti.
Ricky liked seeing the chocolate being made up close.
Jessica saw the different paintings in the cathedral and thought they were beautiful.
Hope that answers your questions, Judith was hoping the pizza oven could go in the TLR room?
Emily
Good answers everyone!
DeleteWe talked about your trip in assembly today and everyone is super excited to hear all about it when you get back.
I think Judith should look at an outdoor oven, then she could hold summer pizza parties in the P16 garden :-)
